• Open Committees: The list of committees, both internal and external to GSA, which need members. GSA representatives are required to serve on at least one committee, but positions are available to all graduate students. Also, students may serve on more than one committee if they like. • Start a Mini-GSA: If your department does not have a departmental organization to represent graduate students, you should form one now. Mini-GSA’s offer the opportunity to have a unified graduate student voice for your department and help strengthen the voice of the entire graduate student body. To top it off, we will give your Mini-GSA $300 a year that you're free to spend on programs, speakers, or even just snacks at your monthly meeting. Learn more about the mini-GSA program.


• Conference Travel Grant Awards

  Attendee:
  $64 per event independent of location
  
  Presenter:
  $200 per event in the Southwest (California, Arizona, or Nevada)
  $250 per event in the continental United States
  $250 per event in Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Mexico
  $300 per event for all other locations in the world.
