Bill Of Rights

Bill of Rights

We, the graduate students of the University of California, Riverside (UCR), formally endorse the rights and responsibilities in this document. The goal of this document is to ensure the relationship between a graduate student and their advisor(s) is one that is collegial, respectful, and ethical. Moreover, it is to help ensure that we are provided with the appropriate training and tools necessary to thrive during our degree programs and individually chosen careers. Graduate students play an important role in the research, teaching, and service of the university, therefore, it is imperative that the basic rights and responsibilities of graduate students be stated clearly. The following sections are not meant to be exhaustive but should serve as a basis for future discussions of issues related to graduate students.
